Funding criteria

At Avyana, we are selective about the cases we support. We offer a variety of funding solutions tailored to your specific needs. From the beginning, we ask a series of focused questions to assess whether your case meets our funding criteria. These criteria are designed to help you understand if your case could qualify, and we work with you to determine if the necessary conditions are in place.

1. Can a judgment or award be enforced? We only fund cases where a successful outcome can be enforced. It is important that the defendant has the means to satisfy a judgment or settlement. Before we commit, we want to be sure there is a clear route to recovery.
2. Does the case have good prospects of success? We support cases we believe can be won on their merits. From the outset, we look for a strong legal basis, backed by clear strategy, expert input, and legal opinions.
3. What is the value of the claim? We usually fund cases with a claim value starting from €100,000. In portfolio or class actions, the combined value must meet our thresholds. Our goal is to ensure that the claimant receives the majority of the damages after legal costs — and that we can make a fair return.
4. Are the budgeted costs realistic? We allocate the full budget from the moment a case is approved. We don’t overcommit our capital. We need to see a clear, well-prepared cost budget, including all likely expenses and insurance needs.
5. Is the legal team ready? The cases we fund are often defended by experienced legal teams. That’s why it’s important the claimant is represented by skilled, experienced litigators with a strong track record.
